Sony on E3 2018 conference: feast your eyes on the brand new titles
Sony has already held a conference on E3 2018. What new can we expect from the video game company after it?
The end of PlayStation 4 era is nigh, and the next console is not yet on the horizon, so the Sony bets on the new titles. Comparing to the Microsoft conference, the Sony’s one covered noticeably fewer titles. Nevertheless, the announcements were more detailed and in-depth.
The most exciting announcements were attached with trailers. Long cinematics with gameplays and cutscenes gave us the complete representation of the future Sony releases. Let’s take a look at them, dear readers.
The Last of Us Part II
The sequel to The Last of Us must be the most expected title from Sony. It's a follow-up to the top-awarded game for PlayStation 3. Bloody and brutal as was its predecessor, The Last of Us Part II, is flavored with a little bit of drama. The trailer presentation made fans astonish. It started with an image of two girls kissing. Then focus shifted to a man's body being disemboweled. The game promises to be violent and exciting!
Yet, Sony didn't give us an information about the release date.
Spider-Man
New Spider-Man from the game developer Insomniac is announced to come out in September 2018. The Marvel-based game is going to be released exclusively on PlayStation 4. The player meets the protagonist when he is already experienced and skillful. Though the game will cover details of the Spider-Man's and Peter Parker lives, the plot is going to be original and absolutely different from the movie. The web-swinging promises to be an exciting part of the gameplay.
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima is the action game from Sucker Punch studio. If you know their superhero adventure Infamous and you like it, then Ghost of Tsushima won't disappoint you. The game is astonishing in its visual performance and meant to give players a memorable experience of combination combat and stealth. The release date of Ghost of Tsushima is, however, a secret.
Death Stranding
Sony presented the new gameplay video for Death Stranding. Two cast members — Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner were revealed. Actors Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen portray the male characters. You will find them all in a mysterious action with an open world where everything changes with your character's death and his resurrection. Mysteries, weirdness, and beauty from the game developer Hideo Kojima are guaranteed.
Kingdom Hearts III
Kingdom Hearts III promises to be a memorable adventure with various game mechanics. It will be presented on both Xbox and PlayStation 4 consoles at the beginning of 2019. This Square Enix’s anticipated role-playing game mixes the worlds of Final Fantasy with the characters from the Disney cartoons. A crazy blend of Frozen, Ratatouille, the Pirates of the Caribbean, and even more!
Control
One more wonderful, yet weird release is expected from the game developer Remedy. Control is a supernatural adventure from a third party. In the leading role is a girl who slows down time and even controls space. For the first time in many years, Remedy will release it on the multiplatform: PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We expect to see the game at the beginning of 2019.
Déraciné
Want a bit of VR? You will get it later this year with Déraciné, a new PlayStation virtual-reality game by From Software studio. You are going to play for a girl in a secluded private school with other pupils. There are a lot of mysteries to unfold and thus to change the destinies of school students.
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Twenty years have passed after the release of Resident Evil 2, the legendary in all senses game. Capcom in attempts to jump over its huge success remakes the game entirely. In the brand new survival horror, the visual appearance and gameplay are built from the ground up. On January 29, 2019, you will get an opportunity to make sure on your own how greatly the game changed.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4
On E3 2018 Sony conference, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was presented with remastered maps from Call of Duty Black Ops I and Black Ops II. There is also good news for all PlayStation Plus subscribers: the game is free to get starting today. Also, the release date for Black Ops 4 was announced. It is October, 12 of this year. In the latest edition, you will find a new fight-to-death mode which is called Blackout.
Nioh 2
On E3 2018, Sony announced the sequel to the samurai-action game Nioh. Nioh 2 is going to be released on PS4 and currently is on a stage of development. Not much info is revealed for now except for some plot details. The game story will be set in feudal Japan and will twist around the protagonist, William Adams. Nioh 2 is based on the unfinished script of Akira Kurosawa, so we expect a lot from the announced title.
Sony stroke us not with a quantity, but with the quality of the announced titles. The majority of them are already in our To-Play list. The variety of genres and most anticipated sequels make us wait for Sony releases with bated breath.
