Aethyr
Introduction
Aethyr is a digital card game based on the world of Shannara, written by Terry Brooks. The game features a multitude of characters from the Sword of Shannara and the Wishsong of Shannara series of novels. Players can choose one of the four characters to play, each with their own decks and abilities. The game is played with cards that represent characters, weapons, spells, and locations. The game is being developed by Los Angeles based studio, Chinook Games.
Graphics
The game’s art style is very reminiscent of the Shannara novels, with a dark and moody feel. The cards are very stylized, and the game features a lot of dark tones.
Gameplay
The gameplay is similar in style to Hearthstone and other digital card games, where players build a deck with cards drawn from a pool and battle each other. The difference is that players can attack not just the player in front of them, but any player on the board. This makes for an interesting gameplay experience.
Multiplayer
Players can play against either AI or other players in Aethyr. The multiplayer mode is a lot of fun, and is one of the major differences from other digital card games.
Replayability
Aethyr is a digital card game. This means that there is a limit to how many times players can play the game before they get bored of it. It’s a lot of fun, but it can get repetitive if players play for too long.
